Company identifies four key areas for new investment next year

Through this new platform, Launchpad, SITA has highlighted four key areas in which it seeks to build new partnerships: digital identities; advanced analytics and data management; airport security and safety; and sustainable alternative energy sources. Each of these pillars responds to recent changes in air travel demands, where SITA has already taken important steps in innovation and development.
Over the past two years, airlines and airports have faced significant challenges that have changed traveler behavior, requiring the industry to adapt its way of operating. Furthermore, rising fuel prices and volatility have grown sharply as passengers demand the same digital experience when traveling as this factor dominates every aspect of everyday life.
To meet this demand, SITA is accelerating its investments in new solutions that offer smarter ways of working, using existing and new technologies. At the same time, the company seeks to collaborate with partners inside and outside the air transport sector to complement its experience, with the aim of driving innovation or experimenting with new sustainable solutions in its operations.
